Let us build a bridge

Our learning goals

We strive to inform people about the general knowledge, needs, rights and value of animals. Through courses we want to convey knowledge that leads to better understanding and respect for all species. In addition, we want to raise society's awareness of the challenges animals face worldwide, such as abuse, neglect and habitat loss.

Flexibility

E-learning allows you to learn wherever and whenever it suits you. Whether you are at home, at work or on the go, you can access the learning material at any time. This means that you can adapt your studies to your own rhythm and schedule, allowing you to learn effectively and efficiently without disrupting your daily commitments.

Personal Development and Skills

E-learning allows you to learn wherever and whenever it suits you. Whether you are at home, at work or on the go, you can access the learning material at any time. This means that you can adapt your studies to your own rhythm and schedule, allowing you to learn effectively and efficiently without disrupting your daily commitments.

Interactive and Engaging Learning Experience

In our e-learning modules we use interactive elements such as videos, audio fragments, quizzes and blogs. This ensures that you remain actively involved in the learning process, which improves the retention of knowledge and makes learning more fun.

Measurable progress and results

Participating in an e-learning offers you the opportunity to learn in a flexible way. Our courses are aimed at strengthening your competences, so that you are better prepared for the challenges in your profession as an animal caretaker, sympathizer and volunteer abroad. By participating, you invest in yourself and your future.

At the end of an e-learning you will receive a certificate of participation that confirms your new skills and knowledge (achieve min. 80% on the quizzes), which is a valuable addition to your portfolio.

Some keywords

Biodiversity

The following keywords form the common thread in our e-learnings:

Awareness

Knowledge

Ethics

Anatomy

Taxonomy

Conservation of animals

Care

These themes are central to our e-learnings and provide a basis for building in-depth information about the animal in question in the e-learning.

Biodiversity

Biodiversity is the variety of life in a given area or ecosystem. It includes all the different species of plants, animals, fungi and microorganisms, as well as the genetic variation within these species and the ecosystems in which they live. By participating in our E-learnings and courses from The Animal Uni, participants will gain a better understanding of the value of biodiversity and its conservation. Each course provides specific information on the various threats to biodiversity, such as habitat destruction, hunting, climate change, and other challenges. We also discuss possible solutions and strategies to address these issues, always focused on the specific topic of the course. Our programs are carefully designed to not only inform but also inspire participants to actively contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and the protection of ecosystems. By sharing this knowledge, we hope to create a community of well-informed and motivated individuals who work together towards a sustainable future.

Awareness

Awareness is the process of gaining insight and knowledge about a topic, which helps one better understand its impact, consequences and one’s role in it. Awareness is often the first step towards change, as it motivates people to take action and contribute to solutions. By participating in our E-learnings and courses, participants will gain extensive knowledge about the current status of different species worldwide, including endangered, vulnerable and extinct species. They will gain insight into the factors that have contributed to the decline of these species, such as habitat destruction, overfishing, climate change and illegal trade.

Knowledge

Knowledge is the collection of information, facts, skills and insights that a person acquires through experience, education or training. Knowledge can be shared, transferred and expanded, and forms the basis for learning and growth. By participating in our e-learnings and courses at The Animal Uni, participants will gain extensive knowledge about a wide range of wildlife species, across different ecosystems and geographical locations. They will learn how to identify these species based on their physical characteristics, behaviour and habitat. As our e-learning and offline course offerings expand, participants will be able to enrol in a variety of programmes.

Ethics

Ethics is the discipline that deals with the principles of right and wrong, and how people make moral choices. It examines what is right and wrong behavior and provides guidelines for how individuals and groups should act in different situations. Ethics helps to define values and norms that contribute to a just and fair society. By taking part in our courses at The Animal Uni, participants will develop a deeper understanding of the needs of wildlife in their natural environment. They will learn how to respect and support these needs. This includes avoiding disturbance to wildlife and promoting practices that protect and preserve their habitat. Our programs are designed to inform and inspire participants so that they can actively contribute to the protection of wildlife and their ecosystems.

Living, adapting and surviving,

Behavior and anatomy

Animal anatomy and behavior are closely related. Anatomy refers to the physical structure of animals, such as bones, muscles, organs, and tissues, and how these parts are constructed and function. Behavior refers to the actions and reactions of animals in response to their environment, including locomotion, communication, foraging, reproduction, and social interactions. By studying animal anatomy, we gain insight into how their physical characteristics influence and enable their behavior. Together, the study of anatomy and behavior give us a complete picture of how animals adapt, survive, and reproduce in their natural environment. By taking our courses at The Animal Uni, participants will learn how to identify specific physical characteristics of different animal species. In addition, they will gain insight into various behaviors that occur in different animal species, such as migration patterns, feeding habits, communication methods, reproductive behavior, and social structures.
